Raphia is a natural fiber of vegetable origin composed of 100% vegetable cellulose.
Raphia commonly called raffia is obtained from the processing of palm leaves from tropical Africa. The palm leaves are suitably processed and treated to create a regular and resistant fiber.
The natural Raphia is particularly recommended for the creation of clothing items such as bags and hats or in the furniture for containers, placemats and carpets.
It can be used in loom processing, for manual weaving or with the aid of crochet, where it quickly and easily allows the creation of original natural-looking accessories.
