EThe yarn of the year is available again for me, in the degradé category: Laines du Nord's POEMA. 

                

Ho adorato da subito questo filato per diverse ragioni :

- la sua composizione 100% lana merino extrafine lo rende morbidissimo anche per la realizzazione di maglie

- il suo effetto degradè molto delicato ma nello stesso tempo di grande effetto visto che i colori sfumano uniformemente gomitolo dopo gomitolo e sono perfettamente uguali. Anzi, se si dovessero usare piú gomitoli, la sfumatura si ripete esattamente nella stessa gradazione.

-il gomitolo di gr.150 per mt.600 permette di realizzare uno scialle o un altro accessorio con un solo gomitolo.

The model I made is “Little Star “ by Linda Allegra, a talented designer who has designed various shawls precisely to enhance the beauty of the degradé of this yarn..



I really liked making "Little Star" because, in addition to having a very enveloping semicircular shape, there are these lines of "stars" to work with the elongated stitch technique, worked with a number of larger needles than the rest of the process performed with the right needles for the yarn, and then conclude with a beautiful semi-perforated edge with points. To make this shawl I used ONLY one ball of Poema (col. N.2).




My two dear friends of the San Daniele knitcaffé Giuliana and Anne Marie, have instead made the "Glicine" shawl also by Linda Allegra, using two different colors of Poema, one with col. 9 and the other with col 2.. 

“Glicine “ is an asymmetrical model, that is, a crosswise processing that is achieved by making a decrease at the beginning of the row and a double increase at the end of the row.

Another friend of our knittosi meetings is Giuliana who made Linda Allegra's "Flower Power" shawl, always using a ball of Poema, this time with the color 01..

It is a very original model, with a triangular shape across and, on one side, leaves are made, while on the other side there are cute little flowers.

 


All these beautiful shawls can be further enriched and personalized by adding tassels or fur pom poms, applying them to the tips of the shawls.

You just have to try this very elegant Poema degradé yarn by choosing at least one of its 10 variants of colors and shades.
