THE NORTH IS HERE ...
di Monica B. Solocosebelle
Autumn is upon us and ... we are already preparing to realize the thousand “woolly” projects with the new yarn from DROPS “NORD”.
Reading its composition 45% alpaca, 25% wool and 30% polyamide, gr. 50 for mt.170 and its main characteristics, resistant and soft, I was thinking of the classic yarn to make socks given its percentage of polyamide but some doubts came to mind when I re-read the word "softness".
To take away any uncertainty, I have chosen two models that must absolutely be made with a soft yarn for their use.
The first model is a neck, an accessory that must be pleasant given the direct contact with our facial skin..
I opted for the nice “Paulie Cowl “ di Lisa Hannes, thus taking the opportunity to experiment for the first time, the mosaic processing with 3 colors, in which one color is used at a time but creates truly fascinating effects.
The result was excellent: I used a ball of yarn per color and worked with 3.5 circular needles.
The second model is par excellence the garment that must be soft, because it is a sweater for children and the word "Polyamide" must absolutely not lead to hasty conclusions!
I made this model I created with the 3 colors that I have advanced.
Here too, I had the confirmation of its softness and perfect resistance to washing.
I can assure you that both the sweater and the neck, once washed, have not undergone any change in size.
Now you just have to try it! Choose your favorite color on www.lanaonline.it where you will find all the fantastic range of colors both unicolor and mix and above all the super launch offer with a 25% discount that will last until September 15th
Have fun, Monica
