a BELLE Summer
di Monica B.
In this hot summer (and it's not over yet) I discovered Drops BELLE yarn, even if it's not new for this year. Its composition intrigued me a lot because, normally, for summer garments I work or cotton or linen, instead this yarn has 53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen.
Already when I made the sample to understand the yield it could have, I had the feeling that in its composition, there was also silk, because to the touch it was very soft and saggy and therefore, I began to look for which model I could make.
It was two shawls (I love shawls).
The first one I made is Once Upon December by Elena Nodel, she is a Canadian designer and very popular

......and this time I was enchanted by the cherry color n.12
The result, more than satisfactory!
Excellent yield: 5 balls (one ball gr. 50 mt. 120 recommended needles 4)

On the second model of shawl, I had no doubts, because I wanted it large and enveloping.
So I made “Emma Fassio's Magic Love”.

This time, with colors, I went to classic navy blue # 20 as the main color and silver gray # 06 as the secondary color, and the result was exciting.
....... and the result was exciting.
Summer is not over yet and if you want to make a garment that is the right consistency for your summer evenings, my advice is to try this Belle yarn in its beautiful 20 colors.
