Punch Needle - DMC

Punch Needle, with steel tip and wooden handle. The handle is about 11cm and allows you a good grip while the tip measures 3.5cm and allows for short and regular stitches. The diameter of the tip is 4 mm and allows you to use thick yarns, the metal insert (the tip) extends along the entire length of the handle so that the yarn runs well inside and is well held. The wooden needle is used to insert the yarn easily through the handle of the punch and to thread the tip.

The Punch needle is a technique similar to embossed embroidery: the back of the work is threaded with the needle and stitches similar to small buttonholes are created on the front. You can also work directly on the front for a weave-like result. By mixing the two techniques, modern and unusual textures are obtained.
With the punch needle technique you can create decorations for unique and personal fashion accessories, cushions, wallets, etc ... It is an extremely simple and creative technique!
